Here are some of the variations I went through as I was developing the character. The top image shows the one I settled on and then the tweeking that I did based on the publisher's comments. They wanted him to look a little younger.

Welcome back. Glad to hear things are busy for you. Great designs on your truck book. I find it hard to give a vehicle some character, but you knocked it out of the park. How's your Turbo Dogs coming?

Hi there. Just wanted to say that we found "Little Dump Truck" at the library and have since read it at least 25 times to my 22-month old. He loves it and brings it to us continually. I think it's the illustrations that he finds so interesting so I'm hoping to buy some of your other books for him for Christmas. Keep up the good work!
