racerdogs

I grew up around car parts. My dad was a mechanic as was my grandpa. I had to include a scene where a car breaks down. It was fun to get to draw motor junk.
This was a little promo item I made for my publisher, editor, art director and agent as a thank you for helping me get the book out. I always have ideas and intentions of doing something fun with every book. Finding the time is hard.

Hey Bob,
Love that Racer Dog book. Wonderful illos and you manage to give each character their own distinct personality. I was wondering about submitting to children's book publishers. Do you have an agent or do you deal with this end of it yourself? Is doing a dummy of the completely written book with rough art layouts still how most publishers want to see book ideas? Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!
